This July 4th, help a Manatee – Club offers public awareness signs & banners, free
Save the Manatee Club reminds the Florida boating community to prepare to participate in manatee safety this busy July 4th holiday and beyond. The Club offers a variety of free public awareness materials to protect the endangered marine mammals.

Save the Manatee Club also offers free, family-friendly public awareness manatee signs and posters for sites where human/manatee interactions are a problem. These materials have been distributed around Florida to state, municipal, and county parks; marinas; and other places where harassment of manatees is a concern.

OK, Here’s the story behind this:
I recently discovered the adorable calming manatee meme, and also follow the tumblr blog.
Then I had a kind of rough weekend. Though things are resolved now, I was still trying to shake off those uneasy feelings. So I thought, to calm down, why not draw some calming manatees?? So I did. Then they needed captions. I looked to a page in my sketchbook where I had jotted down some inspirational quotes before, including one from Uncle Iroh in Avatar, the Last Airbender.
So then I thought: Hey, he’s a calming man-of-tea!
Therefore, if you are in need of some fanart of a cute meme, with inspiring quotes from a great cartoon character, well then here you go! :D
